Duality Within

I sincerely hope this finds you well and at peace.  As I write this, I find myself in an age-old struggle deep within me.  I made a in a hurry careless mistake last week.  The mistake did not seem to have a big effect negatively on anything, yet it was a haunting mistake for me.  Because of the mistake, I began to get negative on myself because I did something that was careless.

As this self-inflicted interaction within me was taking place, I found that there was no good coming from it.  In fact, there was collateral damage happening, creating other thoughts to grow that were negative and unhealthy in nature.  Things like anger issues, self-righteousness, negative attitude about life and other thoughts that at one time plagued me all to often.

With good reason, this set me on a spiral down into a deprived place in me.  Even though I am a Christian, I am still a sinner.  Becoming a Christian added something to me, that I do not deserve, called forgiveness a gift from God.  All my imperfection is still intact and working to control me in my Christian forgiveness, doing battle moment by moment.

As I was experiencing this most unsettling time of life a thought occurred to me.  It is something I have told people many times so to do battle with their sin nature.  The principal goes something like this: do not use Satan’s tools to do good!  This whole idea came home to rest on me in a unique way.

What happened was this, what I was trying to pound out and destroy in my own strength, was only serving to spread the seed of discontent, inferiority, and unforgiveness in areas that I was previously overcoming because of God’s forgiveness.  I was using Satan’s tools to do God’s work of sanctification/purification.  (SIGH) What an opportunity to practice what you preach Denny!  Rats!  Found out again!

In being found out by my misconception of God’s grace there was an epiphany moment, sin is extremely subtle influencing us away from God.  Even with experience in living in faith I was fooled.  When I use Satan’s tools to do good I am using a defeated method.  Therefore, whatever I do with Satan’s tools is bound to fail by God’s Victory over sin.  All of Lucifer’s tools are defeated foes.

Now if I applied God’s tools to the same situation of my mistake/sin, (Now I am) tools such as confession, grace, forgiveness, and humility what would have grown out of those God-given tools?  God desires to prosper His children not destroy us.  Each human being is an image bearer of God therefore; Satan has no problem cannibalizing his own followers (unredeemed image bearers) to do his evil, or anyone else who will avail themselves to his power lies and work, even believers in Jesus.

Paul the Apostle prayed three times for a thorn in the flesh/sin to be removed from him.  God answered Paul and said: My grace is sufficient.  Without checks and balances in living it is easy to be duped into a sense of victory when in reality it is God dependent -given victory not self victory.  We say something like: Do not worry God I have got it handled.  I will stamp out sin in my life let me show you how.  God, see how good I am!

Good and perfect gifts come from above and the book of James tells us our own sin nature leads us astray.  It certainly pulled me astray in trying to take care of my own sin.  I am dependent on a merciful God for all the forgiveness I will ever need as I live.

A mixed bag of blessing and failure is how I appear right now to others and me.  However, to my Lord and Savior I am sinless and un-condemned see Romans 8.  I call 8:1 the first three rules of Christianity there is no condemnation, there is no condemnation, there is no condemnation.  It is my choice on how I live, I do not choose to continue to use Satan’s failed tools.  I want to learn to use God’s tools for living well and not be duped into a lesser life.

To be or not to be is not the question!  To live by God’s grace that is wild and wonderful or to have a false sense of control of your life and live by Satan’s rules of pseudo-life is the real question.  God has given each of us one life to figure this out.

Jesus is building a place for you, your choice; do you want fellowship with God forever?  If you answer yes, then ask Jesus in your own words to forgive your sin.  Then start walking with Him, remember you are forgiven, and live like you are thankful for what Jesus did for you.  Yes, salvation can be that simple. (if God has forgiven you, you will see that living in thanks to God is a privilege and joy not a law of any kind) God wants your fellowship so much He died and overcame death to show you the way to overcome sin.

In Christ’s resurrection.

Jesus has risen indeed.

Jesus, after being born of a woman, a.k.a. begotten, living a perfect life, then choosing to give His unstained life, as the final sacrifice to end all sacrifice was not enough love from an abundant God to his precious children.  Our God, Jesus also took up life again after death and then ascended back home so the comfort of His Spirit could be with all his obedient children.  There is no biblical record of God the father calling Jesus forth from the grave.  Jesus did it in Godly love because he is the great I Am.

This obedience is not a traditional kind of obedience that I think of as I picture obedience.  God’s obedience tends to be more of an acknowledgment of our humility to him.  The obedience I speak of is even more as it includes a continuous need for help from God himself (we fail regularly).  It is a dependence on God for his forgiveness in our shortcomings so we can have real hope.

When I think of obedience, I do not think of misbehavior as being part of it, God includes it.  I think of doing the right thing as being part of obedience.  David who was in the genealogy of Jesus was never a perfect man.  In fact, it is easy to throw stones at David because he made so many sinful acts recorded in Scripture.  Yet, God himself said that David was a man after God’s own heart!

What a scandalous thing for God to say about a man like David who fell short of the glory of God in so many human ways.  However, what about the statement from God, is it void of understanding of the man David?  Not at all, God knew David!  It was in complete knowledge of David, and who he is!

David in all of his life never claimed a righteous life but was continuously dependent on a merciful God for righteousness.  David is a master at a short sin list with God.  Look at his life record in the Old Testament.  Where did David immediately go when sin was known in his life? With fellowship like this, not every little sin needs confessed.  Nevertheless, God requires acknowledgment as the only hope we have for forgiveness of sin.

Where did David go when he realized the sin in his personal life?  Remember, this is the Old Testament when, God was known for his wrath.  David went directly to the sinless one who knew his sin and confessed the known sin.  David was a man after God’s own heart because he had no doubt that the Mercy seat he so needed is found exclusively in his hope resting in the one awesome God he served.

David was not ever one to hold onto his sin.  He humbled himself before his God and sought forgiveness that he knew he did not deserve.  This is how David mastered pure fellowship with God.  David’s pursuit of God had nothing to do with David’s great works, it had to do with David’s great humility to an awesome God who is full of mercy and grace.

Yes folks, mercy and grace are paramount players in the Old Testament.  I have heard it told that the Old Testament is the New Testament concealed.  The New Testament is the Old Testament revealed.  The new and the old are interdependent on one another and cannot contradict each other in the reconciliation message at its core.  Mercy and Grace given/gifted to undeserving mankind by a merciful and loving God.

A right to good health?

As I’m sitting here writing this blog and I am in great pain in my right knee.  I just landed a decent job, supposed to start in a week and a half.  I can barely walk on my right knee.  I have already given notice to my former job.  Has God abandoned me?  God knew what was going to happen when I applied for the new job and turned in my resignation for the old one.

I try to leave a half decent life, should God owe me a healthy knee, need time to start my job and try get health benefits and some time off to recuperate from whatever is going to happen to my knee?  Should I be doubting through my faith trying to figure out what’s going on?

Do I have a right to good health?  I think of Johnny Erickson, and my friend Bill whom blogs on WordPress as unshakable hope, they both have wonderful ministries and reach many people.  However, they both have health problems, they are different but, nonetheless glaring health problems.

Why would a common guy like me deserve better health than these two fine warriors of the Lord doing wonderful work bringing his peace and love to the world?  So here, I am in my pain, and feeling sorry for the bad situation I am in.  Should I even ask God to heal my knee so I can go to a new job or even work?

My best answer is yes I should ask.  But my attitude is I have no right to ask God to help me in this situation.  For now it is like this, here in the Shadowlands where there is dark and light, good and evil, there is a price to pay in fallenness.  However, the price I pay is a bargain compared to my life without God.  If God decides not to heal my knee it simply means he has another plan for my life that I gave to him upon my salvation.  Help my faith in Jesus and his everlasting love.

Salvation is kind of a word that says God fulfilled All laws of the Old Testament’s requirement in perfect obedience.  Because of this perfect obedience to the law of the Old Testament God was able by one death to pay for all sin that was ever committed.  He kept the law because he knew I could never do it on my own or even with his help here in this world that we live in.  Jesus is risen and living today.

I currently have his help in the Holy Spirit indwelling me, I still struggle with the darkness and go to war war with it on a regular basis.  It seems that I win battles but only to find that there are so many more to be fought.  At first this sounds discouraging but, God is a life-giving Redeemer.  This gives an ability for me to see how short I fall of his glory and be encouraged because he has promised to love me and obliterated my biggest problem I had.  I never have to worry about going to hell ever again because the work of Jesus.  It has nothing to do at all with my work that I do but everything with the work that he does.

All I did was receive Jesus’s perfect work by answering his call, no work involved at all on my part.  Now about my knee, if I have trusted God with my salvation and life.  Why am I having such a hard time trusting with something as simple as the human knee.

There are many medical procedures to help fix knees and other parts of the body.  The timing and everything else of this injury has been so wrong for me.  One day I am fine the next day I’m barely walking.  I am in a struggle with doubt and want, darkness is of varying degree.  Help me Lord Jesus!

Teddy bears and God

How do you start a thought like this?  I know, I will start with a confession, not a bad place to start.  I said I was going to do one article a month this year.  If you strictly talk about one article per month, I did not do one last month, January the forward and backward looking month.  So! I have zero out of two months and have broken a New Year’s resolution, resolutely.  As usual, I am knowingly living on grace again, even more day by day!

Now that is off my chest I can talk about teddy bears.  Did you ever have a teddy bear?  Do you still have that teddy bear?  It really does not have to be a teddy bear but just something from your childhood that never left your side.  A toy a blanket, adults sometimes called them security toys.  In Peanuts Linus and his trusty blanket is the best example I can think of.

The poor security toy started out as pristine and new.  It was as clean as could be freshly made and every thread or part in its place.  At this time teddy was not dragged  everywhere.  The attachment has not yet developed fully or completely.  Adults were even proud for the children to be associated with these “security toys” in their new beautiful condition.  However, most likely the child just clung to it not realizing at the moment, what this inanimate object was becoming to them and their life.

As time passes the connection to the toy increases, the condition of the Toy deteriorates.  This precious toy, from now on I will call it a teddy bear no matter what it was to you, is attached to the child the child goes everywhere.  It goes under beds, outside, through mud puddles, gets vomited on, of course the occasional trip to the washing machine, separation anxiety, and every other situation you can think of!

Do you have such a toy?  Do you ever have days you wish you could cuddle up to it and have it with you now?  Any memory stirring in you?               (Well dude!  I get what kind of toy you are talking about; I’m still not seeing God!  And you’re starting to lose me, dragging on the teddy bear point!  You are right friend.)

I wish I were, a teddy bear living on love…Okay I digress!

Well, let us think about God a little.  God does not need anything.  In His Trinity singleness, there is complete perfection of wholeness, richness of relationship, complete safety, and perfection ultimate.  God created us to share in His perfection.  There are a few misconceptions out there about God, and I’m going to attempt to tackle one of them or really mess things up, you decide. ( I hope after the read, LOL)

Where is God when bad things happen?  A really, extremely, tough question, at least for me.

So, let us observe at the teddy bear, not the ant as in Proverbs!  Do you remember how inseparable the teddy bear was?  Multiply that closeness by about 1 billion to the one billionth power,…, now you’re just starting to fathom God’s love to mankind.  Do you remember how the child took the teddy bear everywhere?  Did the child even consider that it might hurt the teddy bear when the child took to at risk places?

Fortunately, with God, he does consider us as he pulls us into situation after situation.  However, each situation has a choice contained in it.  When I first started walking with God ” consciously “ the choice seemed to be; is God good or not?  With each, encounter  or trial with doubt, trouble, frustration with God the question had to be considered, then answered to self and God.  Unlike the child who drug the teddy bear everywhere, God seemed to gently ease into the questions about God,  exercising my free will to choose for him or against him each time.

Yes!  God will customize each question, each situation, and the toughness of the situation to optimize his children’s growth in him. (He knows us well)  Fortunately, through God’s rich grace, failure is an option!  Yes!  God will drag you into tough situations.  God will never leave you or forsake you in those situations as you are his child.

Nothing can separate you from God.  Therefore, he goes, you go with Him!  God is never afraid of tough situations. He has no fear of your answer as long as you are honest. (I would G be hot or cold, if you are lukewarm I will vomit you out.)

Wherever the child went the bear was sure to be close by.  Now think about God and his close relationship with his creation.  God’s job is to go to good places and celebrate sometimes, and go to bad at other times with us in tow.  (We are followers of Christ ) The Bible states we cannot be separated from the love of God.

This means that we go where God goes because we are inseparable.  I do not think any of us mind when we get to go to good places or fun places with God as he travels with us.  But!  What about the bad places, the places where the teddy bears eyes get ripped off.  The places where the teddy bear gets all muddy and dirty, but is still with the owner faithfully being a companion to the owner.  The places of terror us to where we  our stuffing coming out of burst seams.  Do we enjoy those incredibly tough moments?

If we don’t like them we still have choice to leave.  Or!  We can stay with God and see what he’s going to do!

Do we want to follow God in those tough moments or times?  Should God send somebody other than us to represent him in those tough times?  Do you want a brand-new follower of Christ or would you rather one of God’s tattered and torn teddy bears to come to represent God and his comfort.  A believer who has seen the good times and the bad times with God,  even though beat up on the outside the stuffing’s or innards of this believer are pristine and new. (The outward man perishes but the inward man is renewed day by day)

As God takes you places in life that are painful.  Is he prepping you to be one of his tattered yet well repaired teddy bears to carry his pure song into a disaster?  In the book of James it says: count it all joy when you fall into diverse temptations.  You are becoming one of God’s well-worn teddy bears that stick around and he can trust to send in to the tough situations as the King himself leads his army to help a lost and hurting world.

Sure, it may look like we have few parts absent and a few seams where there should not be seams, but we have stuffing inside us that has been renewed, purified and cleaned day by day.  We Are loved and sent by the Holy One God into the trouble of this world to help humankind see a God who is worthy of their life.  No!  Not to send judgment or condemnation on you!  But, to send an invitation to join God in his heavenly place. (Good and perfect gifts come from above.)  The other stuff comes from somewhere else! (The other team has a strong propaganda team, I must admit)

Do you complain like I complained when God takes the places with him that I don’t want to go?  Is the love God has given you worth being sent to places you do not want to go?  Well, it is not as hard as it sounds.  The gospel burden is not heavy, because God through Jesus carries the entire burden or performance to get into heaven.

In other words if you believe in Jesus Christ and the work he did for you and accepted Jesus as your only hope to get into heaven, then you are one of God’s precious teddy bears.  God has enough room in his arms to carry all of us at the same moment through all the troubles for all time.

So, God is kinda like a faithful teddy bear scenario.  He loves you the teddy bear, but the teddy bear may not be as willing to love as God loves his teddy bear.  Even so, He led you into tough situations because there is a need for his love and care for someone.  (Should he send you just the easy jobs ?  Jesus did not spare himself.) He sends the ones who are nearest, not necessarily best prepared, but God prepared, to carry his good news to the ones that he loves that are in trouble.

Yes, he has prepared you for that work for you cannot do.  Wisdom is screaming out in the streets, slow up, listen, watch.  Pray that your eyes are opened in your ears unplugged your mind freed.  The creator’s wisdom is everywhere.

Where is God when people are killed by disasters or famine, war, each others words and that the like?  God is sending his soldiers, followers to comfort with his good news.  He is cuddling the souls of the people that are hurting and dying.  He is listening for that last moment call that they believe in God and welcoming His own.

He hopes and desires for acceptance  from the unsaved and invites fellowship with him, but accepts the denial of his grace, then he bitterly weeps because he’s been separated from his dear teddy bear.  The one he never wanted to be separated from.  This is where God is in everyone’s time of trouble.

He is not afraid of any of your trouble He is with you to the last moment ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, your choice accept or deny the good news, a.k.a. the gospel of Christ.  What do you think?

Thanksgiving and Hope

Hello!  It is Near the end of the year and I would like to thank anyone who has ever read my blog.  I especially appreciate comments if you have time to leave them.  I have even approved comments from ghost people who hide their identity by giving false information and identities.  Has been interesting blogging and it’s been fun.  Again, I thank you for the comments and I wish you the very best Christmas and New Year ever.

Thanksgiving has come and gone.  Probably one of my favorite holidays of the entire year is Thanksgiving.  This year is a unique year for me as far as Thanksgiving goes.  Sure, it had all the trimmings of Thanksgiving, the activities were much as expected, yet there was the another side this year that made Thanksgiving more of a struggle.

For some reason, I could see all the good things that happened in the year and lift up Thanksgiving for the people and events that happened.  When I thought of these positive events, at least in my opinion positive, I was happy and full of joy.  This is my traditional take on Thanksgiving.  No matter what the year has brought there is still plenty of good in it to give thanks in true sincerity.

So, you may ask, what was different about this year’s Thanksgiving?  This year was very strange because as I was giving my personal Thanksgiving about most everything and at the same moment in time I saw evil and disaster encroaching, attacking, and attempting to ruin every single good thing that happened.  This view was very unsettling for the first few rounds of Thanksgiving.

In this conundrum of dualities of events and happenings, I was very unsettled and somewhat confused.  Intellectually I knew from a long time ago, there is good and evil, they do not agree in any way shape or form.  All of the best stories and more recently movies portray the essence of this tried and true battle that each of us experiences in living life.

Now an attempt to find some meaning in this mess of a thought pattern.  The first conclusion I came to was that this thought pattern of good and evil coexisting and eternal battle is an unpleasant fact.  The fragility of goodness doing battle with the cold hard evil that knew no bounds to get its own way.  The battle itself did not seem winnable by anything that was of goodness’s side. Can evil be beaten?

For an example, people playing a game who will cheat in a sly way versus people who will not cheat and will only follow the rules of the game.  In this scenario, my experience says the cheater usually wins the game.  Then because of an obvious extremely high when rate, people do not want to play with people who cheat.  So the cheater does not win in the long run, especially when caught cheating.

This brought me to connect with the ideas of luck, good fortune, and random chance into a great big unsatisfying primordial goo.  I was dissatisfied with the thought of these three characters being in charge of life and how it was going to turn out.  Even more horrifying was the thought that luck had some kind of intelligence or a plan. Just plain chaos, no purpose, lost, and nothingness is what chance offers.

The “chance trinity” does not allow for personal choice in living decisions (Stuff Happens is the best effort).  This would create luck as a tyrant of absolute control over all decisions of life and living.  When luck is with you and working for you there is happy for yourself and too bad for everyone else.  In this ideology, there is no honor in work or preparation or overcoming a bad situation.  As we are cast in our lot of good and dark luck and too bad, tough luck is with you or if on the good side of luck, great?

This fortune ideology is extremely empty.  It may be easily proven but still very empty! LOL, I DO TRY TO BE OPEN TO NEW IDEAS, but some ideas, just lead to very empty and places of dark and darker shadows with no hope and little light.  Could this be leading me to do whatever I want to because nothing matters?

While I believe that you matter and I believe that I matter in life so “do as you please” is a failure also.  I know!, maybe I should try to find myself.  You know, go on that long walk until you see yourself.  Seeing yourself by yourself is a fantasy as most people who have tried to find themselves find out, in the end.  Sadly, some never figured it out and hurt all people around them.  You really don’t want to spend time with people trying to find themselves either. OUCH! Can redemption reach them?

So getting back to the original thought how does good overcome cheating and ruthless evil.  The sad answer is sometimes they don’t.  Sometimes good gets trampled and destroyed by evil.  In the sadness of this admission though there is hope!  Because good always seems to be able to arise again and again to do battle with the darkness of evil.  I think maybe hope is the one-word idea that does battle with evil better than anything else.

Hope a target to evil and hope is very fragile when evil In disguise uses hope for a moment  to dash a Pilgrim’s true hope.  The real, decisive point in life is, I have to make a choice and figure out which way I’m going to believe life works best.  If I work for my comfort for the moment, will it lead to a comfortable life later on?  Will comfort now serve to make me more or less happy if I buy my dream property, car, travel, even friends?

With the luck of status, marks of wealth, and power will the person be the same person on the inside as before the improved luck?  Has luck smiling on me change me significantly?  Will I have found myself in my acquisitions of a world made up of matter fulfilling my dreams and deepest desires too?  Is there more than just the struggle of good and evil going on?

It seems that the adoption of hope would be a good start in a purposeful life.  Without hope evil triumphs over good.  Without hope, it is difficult to get through a hard time in life.  Without hope, it is hard to have a purpose.  Without hope, the future looks dark.  Without hope, there is no reason to connect with another human being.

What do you think hope is?  Is hope a tangible or intangible?  Is hope active thinking or deactivating thinking?  Or do you to get hope when you feel used up?  Is there any hope when evil triumphs?  Have you ever seen hope make a change in your life?  Was the change that hope made long-lasting?  Has hope ever comforted you?

Is hope a taste of something better? Is hope a place more livable than the here and now? Is Hope with you now? Is there a destination of hope in your future? Have your hopes been destroyed by the reality of life?

POWER!

WOW!  2016 Election Day is now in the ‘was’ category. It seemed to me this year brought more than the usual election hustle and bustle.  I find it fascinating and painful to hear people talk about leaving the United States if their party is not elected.  In this mindset, it seems to indicate the thinking would be there is hate for the other party and a division with a deep chasm of separation in the peoples of the United States.

Most special interest political groups fan these fires of division and hate.  Personally, I listen to things that I totally disagree with for the sake of understanding.  Fortunately, I usually can pick out some pretty good things that the person is saying that I can agree with or increase an understanding of their view, even with strong disagreement on my part with the general issue being presented.  Learning is always wonderful even when painful!

The special interest groups while fanning the fires of division, at the same moment are also fanning the fires of agreement within their own group but do not think too much.  They teach their group how superior their ideas are for the particular issue they are touting as important.  They will tell their followers to seduce other people into their way of thinking to increase their power base by numbers.

Does any of this sound very familiar?  Have you ever been wooed by a group just to be forgotten when you joined the group?  Have you given permission for their power over you for your vote, influence, and power for their cause just to find out it really was not what they advertised?  Have your been disappointed by your decision to support an agenda?  What is your special power?  How are you using your power, well?  Do you feel you have no power?  How are we supposed to use power anyway?

It appears to me that power has become something people want and desire yet if they go after power they are viewed as being egotistical.  So the answer to defray the ego trip perception is: you go after doing good, kind and helping actions to improve the world and lo and behold power just happens to come with it!  Yes, this fixes everything and makes the world right and beautiful.  REALLY?

Thinking of this genre was well used in advertisement campaign of Barnum and Bailey Circus when it came to town with “The Greatest Show on Earth.”  Even if the shows were not good they were touted as the greatest show on earth.  I think the quote went something like this, “there’s a sucker born every minute”.  This sound to me like a power that desires to fleece me and take advantage of you and I.  How would you classify this use of power?

Enough!  There is power out there that is true and as solid as it ever has been!  It is wrapped in grace and love and can appear weak because of this.  Don’t be fooled, the power of the Gospel of God is the only true power ever introduced to this world.  The Gospel is pure, clean, perfectly good, and incorruptible.

Yes, you are right!  There have been people who have used institutions representing this Gospel to their own advantage to gain personal power over people.  But the Gospel has never been diminished in power because of corruptions of people.  This is why God gives you time, yes time, to sift through the many advertised concepts of God as they are in existence.  It is your responsibility to test the ideas then decide for yourself.

This is an absolute responsibility that God gave you, you can’t give it away, and therefore there is no blame for anyone except for yourself for your decision.  Yes, you can be duped but it is on your shoulders to make the decision, duped or not.

This is an absolute responsibility that God gave you, you can’t give it away, and therefore there is no blame for anyone except for yourself for your decision.  Yes, you can be duped but it is on your shoulders to make the decision, duped or not.

It is written that all power is given in Heaven and earth to Jesus.  Yet, in all the stories contained in the Bible there have always been choices to disobey God freely and blatantly included in the record of God’s people, God’s people sinned not the world.  Yet seldom do these people die or received judgment immediately for their decision not to follow God.

There are lines that we have the choice to cross that God will not allow continuing for ever.  Even today God’s judgment in regards these infractions are absolute and immediate.  Within this power of God’s love and grace, there is latitude for much wrong and evil to exist.  These troubles are used as the activators of our free will.  For example, if we see something as being wrong or bad in action in this world, not necessarily personal events, but in this world, we have been activated to see good and evil.  Good and evil which are God’s given choice of which side to give your life energy to!

Jesus entered the world so that we might be able to see someone who lived completely by God’s law and precepts would look like.  We also have the story of how the world would treat someone who lives completely by God’s laws and precepts.  Yes, there is a great love for Jesus and his powerful reasoning and teaching on good and evil by some people.  There was also a strong hate for Jesus, who in all his power he did not wipe out immediately, but Jesus did request their forgiveness for their hate given him, this created a choice for mankind to ponder and decide their own allegiance for or against God.

The power that is used to force a person into a one-way choice is corruption and entrapment.  Don’t fear, God is not corrupt, He allows you to freely choose which way you want to go.  There are consequences that go with each of the choices.  But the final choice is yours.  Consequences happen to believers and nonbelievers in this world because it is fallen and broken, don’t be fooled false responsibility advertising.

Truth and power, when wielded accurately and righteously, are activators of choice.  Acceptance of truth is an awakening of a person into living moment by moment with options available and a rock solid base to guide each decision.  Power is not evil when used to activate a choice.  Therefore, the truth is this, there is always a way to escape evil when you’re under the power of God by choice to accept the Gospel.

All power was given for the good of mankind.  Abuse of power is only given to the evil one.  Without power, God cannot love us well.  Personally, I would not want an impotent lover of my soul.

Without power, God cannot protect me from all the things that I see going on in this world.  No, protection does not mean he will allow me to live to ripe old age, protection means that my soul is headed toward heaven and no power in existence can stop that from happening.  This is true power.

This Godly pure power was given so that man could inner a rest and not worried about hell for all of his days.  It is also given to exploring and enriching your life by participating with God in his goodness.  Find good power in your life through Jesus Christ.  It is the best adventure you will ever go on, no it is not easy, but it is the only consistent pure clean thing I’ve ever experienced.

You are invited to taste of this power and see if it is good.  I invite you to test God, not me I will fail, God is awesome always and he knows you well.  Power and its use by God are able to change you and enables his protected to be the best person you can be.

Your free will is only activated when you’re alive!  All life True power is found in God!  Awake your soul which slumbers, only in God,  will you know life and life more abundant than you had ever dreamed.  The adventure of following God is here, you have been invited.  What do you say about following pure clean power in Christ Jesus?

I am one imperfect person, who is a believer in Christ, attempting to convey the message of a perfect God to the people of the world with reason and grace.

Sincerely yours,

Denny

Ransomware

Ransomware is used by a hacker on your own computer to lock you out of your folders on your own computer!  Then the computer owner would be contacted by the hacker with an amount of money to be paid to unlock the owner’s very own folders.  When the ransom is paid there is a unlock key sent to the owner so they can again access their own computer.

There is a ransomware running on every single human being since the fall of mankind.  It is a kind of fog of spirit, mind, and body that blinds us and redirects us in any direction except toward God.  God out of his own resource created us in his image.  Then Satan in the form of a serpent stepped in and hijacked God’s creation and for the first time, there is trouble in this world.

The fog of Satin is continually pointing to God with blame and responsibility in all wrong that is manifested in this world.  You name the trouble sickness, accidents, natural disasters, death itself, and all other kinds of evil, God gets blamed for it.  Worse yet, God is even asked where he was when these bad things happen.

This very thinking is what put Jesus on the cross.  Jesus did nothing but good yet was blamed for all evil in trouble and was falsely condemned for doing wrong.  The problem is, Jesus is guilty of being God!  So the verdict that was handed down was correct, Jesus is guilty of being God.  However, Jesus is not guilty of blasphemy for which he was condemned.  It is true that he is the Son of God in flesh and named Jesus.

When the Trinity expelled mankind from the Garden of Eden there was cherubim and an impassable fiery sword that pointed in all directions at the entrance of Eden. Gen3:24 when this sword, impassable by man or Satan, was placed at the entrance of Eden, Jesus knew that he would be facing the wrath of the sword at his own expense and pain so that man could gain reentry into fellowship with God and dwell with God in heaven.

The essence of this fact means that God knew completely when Satan was allowed to tempt man if man succumbed to the temptation; God knew the exorbitant price that would have to be paid to ransom man back to perfect and completely fulfilling ownership of God.  God in his infinite wisdom desired fellowship with mankind, but only if there is a conscience free choice decision, on mankind’s part to choose to love and worship God.

The exorbitant price was paid through Jesus Christ in the will of the Father, through condemning an innocent Jesus so that he could face the wrath of God for sins that were committed by mankind.  Salvation cost God and immense price of suffering and pain.  Another way of thinking this is that Satan is limited in his lies while God is unlimited in his love and truth and grace.

Your ransom has been paid completely by God.  Nothing you can do can earn, change, or improve what God has done for you completely and his finished work of the gospel.  But, you must choose to accept this gift and if you want an adventurous life then apply this gift to your life.  Then you can enter the struggle of relationship with and faith in God.

The struggle is this.  It is easy to see and experience Satan’s limited power now.  Satan is very successful in his blame God for all of his evil campaigns.  But one thing I have noticed if someone lays blame on something outside themselves they are in fact being controlled by that outside force.  So when Satan blames God it is easy to believe the fault because God is in fact in control.  In Satan’s blame, he is proving the truth that God is in absolute control and distorting it for his insidious deception game.

The fog of the situation is to hide this, God does not want to control you absolutely as Satan desires to.  God wants you to freely choose to love and worship him.  As you grow in Christ suffering will happen to you, this is it an invitation to be identified with Christ and his suffering.  (Though he were son yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered.  Hebrews 5:8 see II Corinthians 1:9) As you persevere through the suffering and believe God is good you are being purified of the lies in which Satan entraps mankind.

Get free of the ransomware that Satan has put on your life through the fall of mankind.  You have never experienced freedom until you have experienced the freedom of Jesus Christ.  The choice of Christ as your God activates for the first time a real choice of life or death in your decision-making process.  With Satan, all your choices are the lesser of two evils, with some of Satan’s decisions disguised to look like God’s good way!

You may live in a country that touts freedom as a right.  But, it is not the same kind of soul freedom that you experience with Jesus.  Give the life ransomware locked onto your life to Jesus and let Him give you the key which is Jesus to become free and activate a real choice of free living will.  Then you can see the facts of life! God Loves you and gave himself for you while you were yet a sinner!  Romans 5:8 also see. 1 John 4:19

Satan desires to deceive you and believe that this suffering life is all there is.  Satan also wants to believe that you better grab and take now, because there’s nothing else.  Satan is a master of entrapment and deception while making you think you are in control, not him!  Don’t be fooled!

If you ever want true freedom, there is no other pathway on earth that gives you choice outside of Jesus Christ and his way.  Only after you become a believer, you will learn to exercise your freedom in ways you never thought possible.  Your free will (true life) becomes active after your acceptance of Jesus and his payment for your sin is redeemed in you.

If you wisely choose to become more humble before God and as you walk with him your free will is exercised, becomes stronger, and wiser as you grow in Jesus Christ the Word.  (Yes, you will stumble and fall along the way in this new walk with God.) The word of God uses the description of abundant life to convey the concept of living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The truth will truly set you free in your thinking, emotion, and love.(see John 8:32, Matthew 18:18 You can bind yourself up permanently)   Would you like to begin the process of eliminating all compunction out of your life?  Does any of this sound bad to you?

Humbly presented,

Denny

Immature thinking?

What is immature thinking referring to in the Bible? This is the best section of Scripture I could find to attempt to answer this obvious question.  I only included a short excerpt of the longer more complete principle being taught.

A Call to Spiritual Growth    Hebrews 5.

11There is much more we would like to say about this, but it is difficult to explain, especially since you are spiritually dull and don’t seem to listen. 12You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word.   You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. 13For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right. 14Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.

This section of Scripture brought to mind the parable triplet of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the prodigal son.  I know a strange connection, but let’s pray, and see where it goes.  The first two parables of the triplet have elements in common.  Something valuable was lost, the object of value was tirelessly searched for, was found, and was celebrated.

The third parable of the triplet was similar in a few ways, on several levels something valuable was lost, there does not seem to be a searching for the valuable object lost, then a reasoning surprise, there was a return of the lost with a plan, the younger brother.  Yet I find no indication of a search going on for the younger brother, except maybe in his heart.

The younger brother seems to have come to an end to all supporting resource, physical and spiritual.  And he was willing to return to his father’s house to be a worker not a son.  As the son was in process of returning, his Dad saw him a long way off and began the reunification process.  The father did not hesitate to run to close the distance more quickly to reunite with his son.

All the while as Dad ran, Dad was giving orders to start a celebration because his precious son had returned.  When the older brother returned and found out what was going on and why the party was on, for his sin-laden younger brother.  The older brother was outraged and would not rejoin the party.

The Father did, in fact, seek out in search for his lost oldest son to invite him to the celebration.  The Father received a rebuke for wasting more family resources on the younger brother.  The elder brother decided not to join the celebration for the reunification of his younger brother to the family.

If I understand this parable correctly, the father in the story is actually Father God, the two sons represent two basic ways of living this life without God.  The younger brother was in total freedom doing whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted, and how he wanted.  The older brother represented a law keeping, staunch, dependable, and displayed a self-righteous unforgiving attitude for anyone who is not like him.

My question is this which way was the right way to live?  Living by the law or living by pure unbridled freedom?

Well, one immediate advantage of living by unbridled freedom; it would seem you would come to an end of your freedom abusing ways at some point, “at least in this parable.”  On the other hand, the legalistic older brother did not seem to ever rejoin the father.  So it must be much more difficult to come to an end of yourself for a proper, clean living, legalist than a wild living sinner.

I believe this story shows two extremes in living this life in the flesh.  Neither one of these extremes, or the variant combinations in between, are ways to a relationship with the Father.  They are both disasters and failures at reunifying with our heavenly Father.

I pose to you this thought: The Bible is teaching that childish thinking is this, people can live a life that makes them worthy of getting into heaven through “good” behavior or free-living behavior.  Both of these mindsets are far short of what God requires for entry into heaven.  In other words, both methods of living or any mix are too tame for entry into heaven and fellowship with God.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is this:

Jesus paid it all.  There is a complete, perfect payment for your entry into the Fellowship with God and heaven. We can do absolutely nothing to earn what has already been paid for by God and his desire to have fellowship with us.  There is nothing on this earth like unto this unique principle God exemplified to us in Christ and still trying to teach us.

He desires for us to enter into the rest of his salvation through faith in this truth and live shalom in this life with full confidence the Father can do what He said. (Yes, without our messy help, your choice, to return to God, God will not force you, it is your choice to enter in as deeply as you want.)

After immersing yourself in this love that is totally unmerited, growing faith that this perfect love is true, then there is a foundation for your life to change.  Not because of your effort kind of change, but a flow of pure love pouring out of you because of what was poured into you.

And this is love, not that we first loved God.  But God in his perfect strength extended his love to us while we are sinners far away from him.  This is the love that can overcome any way we choose to live, transforming our life into God’s best by receiving this ultimate forgiveness.  There is now, therefore, no condemnation for those that are in Christ Jesus.  Truth/reality at its finest!

If you have accepted Jesus Christ today or ever, Ephesians 4:17-31 will give you some of the destination points you are headed for as you immerse yourself into God’s forgiveness.  If you are a strong legalist, you will begin to love the sinners that float in and out of churches, they are in much pain in all the partying that they are participating in.  Final hope: Owe no man anything, except to love him.  Love covers a multitude of sin.

While learning to love in Christ,

Theocracy thought…”LTD.”

In the Abrahamic covenant, I have always struggled why God gave us the land before he gave us the promise of His Son. My Argument Was It Did Not Seem Consistent with God That He Would put Land before People! But It Seems, I was looking at scripture Very Wrong. It Was God Looking into Our Hearts and Seeing Our Need of a Place to Be before Our Soul Needs Could Be Addressed.

So my best guess application of this would be; we need to have a place, a land that is working and operational for us to believe in.  God asking faith in a living Jesus Christ and His tenants of  the gospel represented the land.  This faith would express itself as taking care of the poor, getting people off welfare, reintegration of prisoners back into society, as a demonstration of love and our faith in an unlimited God. A place to go to, so to have a sure faith in its existence.

Then we would have to have faith in God, as always, for his blessings to change hearts and souls into living believers. “Government” cannot do this on its own because it does not believe in God, which makes the church the only viable option. For example, when King David was King of Israel there was a theocracy in full operation as he governed God’s people.

When King David drifted away from God, King David was hurt and the people he ruled over along with him. When King David was in good fellowship with God following righteousness and demonstrating faith, everyone was blessed in David’s Kingdom.

Where is this happening today inside our church? Have we become as inefficient as the government in doling out our love to those in need? I believe I am seeing some movement in churches to unify instead of cannibalizing each other in a very unhealthy spiritual manner. What a struggle to do what God intended.

The CHURCH has stepped away from this “welfare service” over the years and allowed the government to really mess things up. So, we the CHURCH “need?” (better word needed!) to practice our unity in one God, as God practices His unique oneness in His Trinity. Then we would have a relationship that would invite others, our neighbors, into an operational Christ-like community.

This call is only for believers to be in unity in Christ Jesus. Not the government not unbelievers! We need to create this place for ourselves, for until this is operational and visible to everyone it is only an idea. Ideas are tough to sell these days! We have stepped aside as God’s operational Church and allowed the government to do our ministry of helping others who are troubled.

Current Government in operation of HELPING people does not understand how to help! Today Government is more lost than it was 60 years ago. God has given us an example to pattern after. Why should he bless us when we do government our own way and exclude Him. By the way, the Church is a living entity, the bride of Christ. The Church is able to adapt to the changing social situations without loss of its life or mission.

Writing this makes me extremely uncomfortable; I do not think I’m the best example to be writing this.

As I am being changed moment by moment, I ask myself, do I want to be an active agent in this unity? I do not believe it is widespread out there yet. But I am seeing rumblings of the Gospel being paramount in churches, from the pulpit, a call back to the foundations of the faith and practicing tenants that have been set aside.

Am I going to enter this battle for my generation?  With God’s help, I can withstand the pain and heartbreak when people deny the Lord’s Gospel.

A servant of God by choice,

Denny

A 1% Christian

1% is one part of 100 units.  So, if I had a stack of 100 pennies, took one of the pennies away, one penny would be an example of one percent of the 100 pennies available.  One part of 100 is another way of saying 1%.  You can do this with money, commodities, intellectual property, and all static things in the universe can be measured in this way.

My original thoughts on being a 1% Christian, as the idea physically came into focus, was to think that the work that God did was 99% of what being a Christian is, and I only contributed a measly 1% through my free will choices to be a Christian.  Then I was going to say how prideful I was in thinking that I even had 1% control over this area of being a Christian.

Okay maybe, not bad, I could easily think through this 1% idea in the Bible.  I would cite such verses as, Matthew 11: 28Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”.  I could also use 2 Corinthians 4:17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,          Still there was something missing.

Then God finally got my attention and the verses in James 1: 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to changed 18 Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.  The obvious question was whether or not I was including the source of all good!?

I had to rethink my assumptions.  As long as you are talking about a limited amount of material, it is possible to calculate 1%. With the eternal clearly unmeasurable, what is 1%?  Then the story of the parables came to mind.  Jesus took simple everyday things and compared them to heavenly concepts and ideas that were perfect.  Most every parable pushed hard enough will break down in trying to describe something perfect.  Anytime I use imperfection to compare to perfection the imperfection is willfully deficient in expressing truth of the perfect heavenly concept.

So in the weakness of this 1% analogy of the Christian participation in Christianity I hope you will forgive me for my pride, but please, never forget the source of all good that mankind has ever experienced.  Do not be misled that you are unimportant to God.  I present two truths that you are the least and you are the greatest at the selfsame moment with God.

What is mankind that God has taken notice of him?  All good comes from God in Heaven, not from any person.  All truth, all love, all pure and kind acts, no matter who performs them comes from God and belong to God.  Do not be fooled in any of this.  We are least in these matters.

At the very same moment and in all eternity it is also true that Jesus came and in his weakest moment with great suffering, gave up life.  Then the life that was stolen from him by Lucifer was picked up again in the resurrection happened totally out of Satan’s control.  Our beaten foe has strong propaganda on the source of all the evil that goes on in this world.  Do not be fooled.  We are most important in these matters.

You are very important to God and you were judged worthy by God, of his suffering on the cross which makes you a royal priesthood unto God.  God still gives himself to us by pursuing us each and every one, calling us to come to him.  If you want to become new, accept Jesus as your personal savior.

The evil one will use every tool of discouragement available to him to stop you.  God will allow you to make the choice on who you believe more strongly.  The gentle way hard choice or the entrapment way of no choice, This is the choice we have in this world to make continually as we live and breath.

I am a 1%, Christian, because I give so little and receive so much in return from a pure heavenly place that my father dwells.  I pray this truth will be understood through this poor parable.  Much as the in the parable of the talents, we invest life that is not ours, to honor and glorify a God who wants to give more to us.  Or we bury our talent/life in our self, living a much lesser life that is broken down and worn out. Then the good hidden is taken away and gifted to the investors.  A Life without hope, but filled with fear, worry, anger and a loveless life, can be healed and renewed.  Continuing with troubles, unimpeded by God’s good, as it is now on earth, forever is the alternative default choice.

It is your choice.  If someone makes a choice for you then you are being blackmailed or coerced to love God.  This is not God’s character.  God’s character “you to choose” to love him and trust him. or not.  This is what free will is all about.  Don’t be confused it is your choice.  The choice on how close you follow him once you become a Christian is absolutely yours also.  God is not a taker.  God is a source and you must travel up to him using His power and forgiveness to get to the source.  Are you an overcomer in life?

Humbly submitted,

A JESUS INVITED DIVORCE!?

Now, what could this mean?  A Jesus invited divorce?  I was just talking about the divisions in the creation account and in heaven and with people.  Yes, the Bible says Jesus hates divorce.  But divorce has more meaning than a union of two people.  There is a marriage of God that is used repeatedly in the Bible to speak to the relationship between God and mankind.

My question is this: would God marry someone who is already married to this world and the Prince the power of the air?  Would not we have to end the relationship with the world before God would marry us?  Is God a bigamist?  God forbid As to the divorce I speak of is a divorce from this world and its ways.  Another way to say it is a divorce from the natural to make way for the supernatural.  And maybe another way to say it is the old man passes away and behold all things are become new!

This is one of the reasons I think divorce has to be part of this world.  We have to understand what separation from something near and dear to us is in order to make the step from the natural to the supernatural.  No, you do not have to be married and suffer a divorce of two people.  You can see it in many other ways and loss is a huge one.

Have you suffered a loss that staggers you?  I mean a loss the sometimes even now after years it still staggers you when you think about it.  This loss could be any number of things or people.  Yet, somehow you continue to live and function on a different level.  Has there been healing?  Have you invited or communed with God about the loss and the suffering of it?  Have you just made your own way with little hope?

There has to be a faith in something that is impossible or cannot be seen for the transaction to the supernatural to take place.  Warning!  Do not give up this world until you are ready to take God on as your king.  If you do let go of this world your ending place will be far more tragic than your starting place without God.  There will be many spirits that will fill your void or separation from this world, all of them evil if God does not fill you.  Jesus loves you, but he must be invited in of your free will.  Jesus knocks and waits.

I have often said the biggest problem with being a living sacrifice (a Christian) is  I want to crawl off the altar of sacrifice every once in a while!  Well, maybe more often!  Being a practicing Christian is a moment by moment is a challenge.  The bewilderment in being torn between this world and the supernatural kingdom of God as we navigate our decisions for living life, make a choice God is with you.  Even to the end of the world.  Or we could be just maliciously fooled by the evil one.

For example, The desire of the Israelites to return to Egypt after they were promised the promise land is a real example of how we as Christians interact with God.  One day, we are awed by God, as in the parting of the Red Sea and the destruction of their pursuers.  Another day, we built an idol (FOR ISRAEL A GOLDEN CALF) and begin to worship it because we feel God has left us without a leader.

The divorce from this world is so difficult.  Sometimes I cannot tell whether it is God or this world and its infectious thinking that is leading me.  The struggle is real and Satan is very deceitful and successful in threading himself into our walk with God.  Satan is not only a deceiver he is and accuser.  This makes the divorce difficult in the struggle to walk with God and away from this world.

A true God is always there no matter which direction we go.  Our Lord is full of grace, in season and out of season, no matter how bad the decision we made is, he is with us.  His desire is to heal us and get us back on track to a relationship walk with God.  Sometimes we willingly walk back into sin, like a dog returning to its vomit, lapping it up knowing it’s the sickness of death for us!  But we still indulge.

There is a song, “Mercy there was great, and Grace was free, pardon there was multiplied to me.  There my burden soul found liberty, at Calvary.”  This is the gospel truth that is the true and pure hope of every believer.

At least in my thinking grace is general and goes to anyone.  God sends the rain on the just and the unjust.  They both can eat.  Mercy, however, is when salvation kicks in and we realize the grace that we are getting.  We then acknowledge the source of our grace and we humble ourselves before God in all, because we know we don’t deserve the grace given by God.  Mercy acknowledgement  is the highest praise to God!  Even while basking in God’s mercy, his grace is so necessary for a Christian to live because none is holy,  No, not one.  This is a truth of Scripture.  Shalom my friends, shalom.

You do not need a bible or another person, God is available. Make your own words, tell God of you true need for Jesus. Then find a fellowship that is full of grace for you to safely learn in fellowship.  Unfortunately, not all “church buildings” hold strong humble believers, so do not give up your search for fellowship.

Divorce yourself from this old world, then get married to God as quickly as possible through his salvation and enjoy the gospel.  The battle is hot but one of the facets of shalom is that God will keep your heart and mind sound in the hottest of battles.  I welcome all new believers to the best fellowship ever. Long time believers be welcoming of our young believers, bringing them up in the grace and nurture of our Lord.  I welcome your comments.

Sincerely yours, in Shalom,

Denny

A short biblical record of separation and divorce.

Divorce Definitions:

from The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 4th Edition

  1. The legal dissolution of a marriage.
  2. A complete or radical severance of closely connected things.

See Synonyms at separate.

Divorce a separation of closely connected things.  I will probably miss a lot of citations but here is a list of from the Bible of things that were separated or divorced as I find them recorded in the Bible.

Genesis

Ch. 1

2The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. (formless given up to form)

  1. And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness. ( light from darkness)
  2. God called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day. (Time started, separation of past from present and future.)
  3. Then God said, “Let the waters beneath the sky flow together into one place, so dry ground may appear.” And that is what happened. (land separated from water)
  4. to govern the day and night, and to separate the light from the darkness. (light darkness separated)

27So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (God’s image to man from God. more in Ch.2)

Ch. 2

  1. Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. (man from earth)
  2. So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. While the man slept, the Lord God took out one of the man’s ribs and closed up the opening. 2:21 Or took a part of the man’s side.  (Woman separated from man)Ch. 3

Ch. 3

4“You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. 5“God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.” (deception and truth divisions)

  1. The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too. (for a moment man separated from woman and woman alone from God. Then man and woman united and separated from God.)
  2. He replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.” (security separated and fear replaced)
  3. And to the man he said, “Since you listened to your wife and ate from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat, the ground is cursed because of you. All your life you will struggle to scratch a living from it. (God’s perfect provision separated from man and replaced with man fending for himself.)
  4. So the Lord God banished them from the Garden of Eden, and he sent Adam out to cultivate the ground from which he had been made. (Separation from home, the Garden of Eden.)
  5. After sending them out, the Lord God stationed mighty cherubim to the east of the Garden of Eden. And he placed a flaming sword that flashed back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life. (The price/cost is set for the reunification of God and Man. A foretelling of THE promised separation of the trinity of God to pay the price in a finished work.)

CH.4

  1. One day Cain suggested to his brother, “Let’s go out into the fields.” And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother, Abel, and killed him. (First elder brother separation from love of family, and real love of our neighbor. Root of all sin and separation)
  2. Afterward the Lord asked Cain, “Where is your brother? Where is Abel?” “I don’t know,” Cain responded. “Am I my brother’s guardian?”(divorce from reality, self-made fantasy is getting stronger)

There is, of course, the first divorce.

Isaiah 14:12
“How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations!

A divorce of irreconcilable differences between God and Satan.  God being benevolent did not put down the rebellion.  God allowed Lucifer to take any Angel who was willing to follow him down to do his deceiving work of deceiving and cheating people from redeeming their souls.  This deception is a choice  to have faith in God or not, and the use of God-ordained free will of each person.  By the way, Satan will always think he can be God and defeat God, this will never ever go away.  I feel this desire is part of the torment that Satan has shared with his followers.

Even on the cross, with Jesus right there in the thick of what was going on in real time. Only one of the criminals with whom Jesus was dying with, accepted the truth and entered celebration with God. The other died with hope in self and lies.  God allowed the choice and it was sealed then recorded for all to see and choose.

Because of these many citations of divorce and separation presented in nature, mankind’s relationships with each other, and the relationship between God and man, divorce had to be a part of everyday life for everyone.  You have to give up something to get something!  You have to give up something especially when it is stolen or lost, which is another form of divorce.  The point is, the world keeps going even though we give up things to give to our idols or the true and living God.

The point is, the world keeps going even though we give up things to give to our idols or the true and living God.  There is deep core hope of reconciliation throughout all relationships known to mankind. Yet, God invites us to divorce this natural world to enter His supernatural world which is abundant and free to us. The Gospel is paid for in a priceless act of love by the begotten one of the Trinty.

If the concept of divorce was not a part of daily living our understanding would not be as great or deeply felt helping us to see the cost that was paid in reconciliation.  Reconciliation is the stuff of life.  Reconciliation is the stuff of hope.  Reconciliation is the most expensive thing that we will ever come across whether it is given to us, or we give it to someone else. Reconciliation can only grow in a rich soil of forgiveness.

And contained within all reconciliation there is a loss.  In some reconciliations is not worth the loss.  But in the reconciliation given to us by God, there is never any indication that it is not worth the cost.  In fact, because God packs down in unmeasured love toward us and blessings to do his work in our lives that he gave us, there is an indication that we are giving up near nothing for everything.Luke 9:24

New Living Translation
If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.

What important separations or divorces that I did not mention in the creation account, or in the years of Adam and Eve, the fall of Lucifer?  I hope this is one of the first of several blogs on this particular subject.  What you think, about these thoughts on divorce and separation?

I wish you a great day and may the joy of the Lord be a powerful part of your life.

Redeemed in Christ Jesus.

Joyfully yours,

Denny
